I love the Middleton Family…I’ve done several sessions with this wonderful family and I just love spending time with them! Here are two of my favorites from our session today- it was cold but they were just as cute as always. Enjoy!
Best of 2012: Family, Kids, and Lifestyle
I love family sessions and this year I also started some lifestyle family sessions as well! I loved branching out and trying something new. I will continue doing regular and lifestyle family sessions in this following year, and I’m so excited about it! I just love spending time with families and their kids- they are so precious!
Lifestyle sessions are all about the little in-between moments because 20 years from now, you might not remember how your kids got hours of enjoyment out of throwing their stuffed animals off of the bed and you picking them back up again. They’re all about fun, laughter, smiles, games, and tight bear-hugs, because those moments are what it’s all about. Lifestyle sessions are about life, your life because no matter how messy, loud, and chaotic life gets, it’s still authentically beautiful.
The Brown Family embodied everything that a Lifestyle Session should be. They were energetic, flexible, and so loving towards each other. And, as a side note, if you casually tell your photographer that you have an awesome couch in your backyard and would that maybe work for photos? the answer will always be yes! Brown Family | Boston Lifestyle Family Session | Sneak Peek
Sweet, flexible, laid-back parents + two adorable kids = one super awesome lifestyle session! Here are two of my favorites from the Brown Family’s Lifestyle Session yesterday. How precious are these kids?! I had a great time with them and cannot wait to share more :)
As an artist and photographer, there are times when I want to try out something new to stay creative and excited about the work I do. I really wanted to try out a new type of family session, a session where families are photographed being themselves and hanging out in their own homes. I did my first lifestyle session a little while ago and loved it! These girls are the best- I had fun hanging out with them and their mom and shooting their everyday fun. I definitely want to continue doing these types of sessions, so keep an eye out for more of them on the blog in the future, and let me know if you and your family may be interested in having me photograph your family moments.
I had a lot of fun at the Hester family’s photo session. I’ve known the oldest brother, Spencer, for years (you may recognize him from his senior portrait session), but it was fun to spend time with the whole family during this session. This photo shoot is my last Tennessee family session (at least for a few months), and I’m glad I got to shoot this wonderful, fun family before I left! Enjoy a few of my favorites.

As many of you know, I am moving soon. I was trying to figure out what photos I want to display in my new dorm room, when I realized that my family does not have one single picture of all of us together. My parents have been married for 10 years and my littlest sister has been alive for 6. And yet in all that time, we do not have a photo of all of us together. I was very distressed at this realization and didn’t want to move across the country without proof that I had a family. So I dragged them all out to my favorite Random Field and we took family photos! Enjoy a few of my favorites :)

Woohoo a photo of all of us looking happy! I’m so glad I can put up a family photo in my new room. (What you don’t see is the behind the scenes, where I’m running back and forth from the tripod to hit the shutter ;)

The Middleton family is so sweet and fun! I’ve known them for years and love spending time with them- we hung out at their new house this 4th of July. Needless to say, I was really excited about photographing their family for the second time. Enjoy a few of my favorites :)
I love family sessions- it is so important to have photos of your whole family together! I love this fun session of the Fox family. The parents, Carina and Matt, are wonderful people and their kids are just adorable! And these photos especially show off their newest addition to the family :)

A former classmate of mine called me up a month or so ago, wanting to do a photo session as a birthday present for her mom. Elizabeth, her two sisters, and two nieces were all so much fun to photograph! I thought it was such a great idea that they wanted to do the photo session for their mom- what a thoughtful and sweet gift. These girls were loving, fun, and so cute together! I absolutely love this family and this photo session! I’ve known the Wrights for a long time from church and they are a sweet and loving family. This is a big post because I loved so many of the photos and I couldn’t narrow down which ones to share! Enjoy some of my favorites.

Several months ago when I went on the Photo Walk in Nashville, I met Jen and Chris Creed, two SUPER nice and talented wedding photographers. Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to shadow them on a couple/family shoot in Downtown Franklin and I had so much fun shooting with them and learning about how they run their business! Our session with the Orlando family was so laid-back and wonderful. Paige, Jason, and baby Ethan were so nice and fun to be around! I wish I could spend every day like this! Here are some of my favorites from this great session :)

I love family sessions because they allow me to capture really fun and sweet moments between siblings. The Barnett kids are incredibly talented, unique, and fun to be around! Their mom, Sheri, had talked to me about doing a session to get photographs of her youngest with his missing front teeth. Not only did I get some super cute toothless grins, but I got to spend time with all these great kids and take photos on them loving on each other and being crazy together :) Enjoy some of my favorites from this great photos session.
Celina has vocal and acting lessons at a studio in Franklin. One of the girls she sings with, Briana, is just absolutely amazing. She has an incredible voice, is so beautiful, and is also so nice! Her mom and I had been talking about doing a photoshoot for the past couple of month and things kept getting in the way. But Finally I got to do a photo session with her and her parents last week and it was so much fun! They were all so easy to take pictures of and we had a great time.
