Best of 2012: Weddings and Couples
This year has been an absolutely amazing one in every way. I graduated high school and am completing my first amazing semester of college. This year I got the chance to document so many wonderful families, seniors, and, for the first time, several weddings! I am so thankful for everyone who has been so completely supportive of me, both in my photography business and in my life in general. This year was so wonderful and I’m so looking forward to next year.
I am kicking off my “Best of 2012″ posts with Weddings and Couples. I am so thankful that I was able to capture some beautiful love between wonderful people this year. I am so grateful for the wonderful Nashville photography community that helped me branch out in my photography business, both with giving me advice and by allowing me to shoot with them- some of these images are from a wedding I shot with Chelsey Somohano Photography. I am so excited to continue documenting stories of love in this coming year.
Much love and keep an eye out for my other “Best of 2012″ posts :) -Amilia

I am excited to be sharing the second (and final) part of Ashley and Dean’s awesome wedding. (If you missed Part One, see it here). There were so many parts of their reception that I loved. Their first dance was beautiful- all the guests surprised them by running out on the dance floor to surround them with bubbles. Ashley works at a singing/dance/acting studio and all of the girls that go there were first to be out on the dance floor, going crazy and having fun. And don’t forget the sparkler exit- two of my favorite photos from the whole wedding were from the exit…they look so magical! I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do :)
And thanks again to Ryan Tolbert, my second shooter!
I am so excited to share Part 1 of Ashley and Dean’s wedding. My favorite aspect of their wedding was that the focus of everything was celebrating with family and, ultimately, celebrating getting married. They got married at Liberty Hall at the Factory in Franklin and they did a great job decorating it- they made the unique peacock-feather boutonnieres themselves and ordered custom-made matching converse in their wedding colors. But I loved that the focus of the entire day was their marriage, which made everything even more special. Everyone was saying that they have never seen such an enthusiastic groom! Their joy was so evident throughout the day and they were ridiculously cute together. Enjoy this first part of their wedding photos and stay tuned for more.
And special thanks to Ryan Tolbert, my second shooter!
Ashley and Dean got married yesterday at the Factory in Franklin. Here’s one of my favorites from their super sweet “first look.” Dean didn’t want to see Ashley before the ceremony, so he was blindfolded so they could still spend some time together. More photos to come!
And I couldn’t resist posting one more so here is one from their sparkler exit!

Christy and Gerald had a beautiful June backyard wedding where they celebrated with their close family and friends. The decorations and details were simple but perfectly suited their intimate ceremony. It is easy to see the intense love Christy and Gerald have for each other, and I was so glad I got to share this special day with them!
Yesterday I photographed Christy and Gerald’s lovely backyard wedding. I’m excited to show you more photos in the next few weeks, but for now I’ll share one of my favorites. I love how happy and in love they are!

I had the best time shooting Julie and Jason’s wedding with Chelsey and Evan of Hurst Photography! It was my first time meeting Chelsey and Evan, and they were both great- really talented and laid back throughout the whole day. And the bride and groom, Julie and Jason, were so fun! They had a perfect picnic-themed backyard wedding. Julie looked beautiful and I loved seeing the love she and Jason have for each other. Enjoy some of my favorite photos from this great wedding!
One of my favorite parts of the day was the first look- I loved seeing Julie and Jason’s expressions when they saw each other for the first time!
This is my favorite picture from the day…you can tell how much they love each other :)
Congratulations Julie and Jason, and thank you Hurst Photography for letting me come along to this great wedding!
